Target audience:

All HR professionals with little or no specific businesses knowledge or direct business experience. HR professionals who wish to become HR Business Partners / Consultants and wish to acquire business savvy.

A half a day or one day workshop, including topics which are chosen in a “bespoke” manner, by consultation with the client, to cover company, industry, size, sector etc. specific need of the client organisation.

The workshop will contain theoretic frameworks as well as practical activity and can cover any or all of the objectives below, as well as some specified by the client.

Objectives:

Closing the business knowledge gap by providing:

- an overview of the end to end business process

- clarity about the role of each function in business and its status in relation to revenue generation

- appreciation of the wider context of a business

- awareness of the changes in business practice in the last 20 years

- ability to asses the current position and challenges the business faces

- full understanding of the impact of technology on organisational structure and culture

- analysis of the current ration services/manufacturing as contributors to economic growth

- understanding of the respective roles and contributions of SME and large organisations to the economy

- clarity of what the various sectors are and their respective contributions

- any specific information related to the client specific environment
