Kronos jumps on the HCM software integration bandwagon

Kronos has become the latest human capital management (HCM) software vendor to introduce a third party application integration scheme in a bid to improve the user experience and make its technology less siloed.

According to HR Dive, HCM integration is the latest big push in the sector, with suppliers from ADP and Paychex to Zenefits all having recently expanded their integration programmes to cover a range of enterprise tools.

Following suit, Kronos has just launched its Workforce Dimensions Technology Partner Programme to enable tech suppliers to build applications that complement its HCM software. By embedding Workforce Dimensions into Microsoft Outlook, for example, employees and managers can use their email to submit, review and approve timecards and requests for time off.

Using a conversational chatbot linked to Microsoft Teams, employees and managers can also request and review time off, check schedules, complete administrative activities and the like. Staff can likewise use Google Calendar to synchronise their schedules.

A Harvard Business Review Analytic Services report found that organisations failing to keep up with technological advancements find it harder to retain talent. But nearly two thirds of the workers (64%) questioned in a study by Hewlett Packard’s Aruba believed their company was at risk of falling behind if its workplace technology was not integrated.
