Guest Speaker Kate Upcraft

Kate has 20 years' experience in the payroll profession 13 of which were spent at Marks and Spencer latterly as Payroll Legislation Manager, where she was accountable for compliance issues for a payroll of 65,000 employees plus 20,000 pensioners.

She then went on to head up the Policy & Research function at the Institute of Payroll Professionals of which she is an honorary fellow, lobbying government departments on a wide range of payroll issues both legislative and operational.

She now has her own business as a technical writer and lecturer on pay, benefits and employment law issues.
